
400/450/520 RR updates for 2010:
All New Engine:
* All New Beta-Built 4 stroke engine: available in 400, 450 and 520 cc versions, for greater versatility of use. Compact size and limited weight (only 68 lbs!) to increase handling.
* Linier power delivery designed for tight woods use yet plenty of over-rev for when the trail opens up
* Engine casing and engine covers built in magnesium to save weight .
* 6-speed wide ration transmission matched perfectly to engine’s power delivery
* 4 valves, double cam shaft and finger followers with DLC-treatment (the same technology used in F1 and Moto GP.
* Double counterweight countershaft to eliminate detrimental vibrations.
* Separate oil circuits: one for cylinder/crankshaft and one for gearbox/clutch to eliminate contamination with gear change/clutch residues. Possible to use oils with different specifications. New Chassis:
* More rigid, lightweight frame. New steering off-set for better control over rocks.
* Widespread use of chrome-molybdenum to increase mechanical resistance.
* Brand-new Marzocchi Shiver 45 mm fork with compression & rebound pistons of different diameters to increase performance over small, square-edge bumps while providing less stiction.
* More rigid swingarm to improve the effectiveness of the rear suspension linkage system.
* New progressive rear linkage system: improves traction 15%.
* New shock absorber with increased axle base and new spring. Dissipates heat better and ensures more stable performance levels over time.
* Innovative rear frame made of special plastic (filled polyamide) material with built-in rear grab handles and quick change side-access air filter service.
*Push-button seat removal system for ease of service.
* New plastic design: more aggressive, modern style together with better ergonomics for the rider.
* New seat with a more linear shape and profile to allow easier moving and riding comfort.
*Low, 36.5” seat height packaged in a chassis that is 5% smaller than other brands for a more nimble feel.
